Although the whale is very big in size, we cannot count it as the world’s largest fish, because the whale is a mammal. The whale shark is thought to be the biggest fish ever discovered. It frequently develops to be 45 to 50 feet long and over 30,000 pounds in weight.
This huge fish eats only small plants and is completely harmless to man. The man-eating shark is much smaller up to 20 to 25 feet in length and weighs about 7,000 pounds.
